1% for the Planet was started by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies. 1% for the Planet has helped to direct hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental nonprofits around the world. Today, businesses and individuals continue to make the 1% for the Planet commitment and create a greater impact every year.

Through 1% for the Planet, we found an innovative and accessible way to support the environment and contribute to its preservation by connecting us with highly vetted environmental non-profit organizations.

Going Climate Neutral

In 2021, we partnered with Climate Neutral to offset our carbon emissions. This includes emissions created from our supply chain, employee commuting, business travel, and utility bills. Being certified taught us how to measure our carbon footprint, how we can offset it, and how we can plan take account of our future carbon footprint.

We are committed to making continued efforts to reduce our carbon footprint each year.

Empowering Our Youth through Music

Let’s Play Asia

In 2017, Kasper Hansen established a personal fund-raiser created to inspire, connect and celebrate the significant power of music in the lives of the students of Malabon National High School with a mission to provide every student with free music lessons, musical instruments, technology, and mentoring.

This mission to empower the youth through music education resonated with our own values as an organization. We believe music and education have the power to transform lives. There are many children around the country who delight in learning, yet do not have the privilege.

As one of the first corporate sponsors of Let’s Play, we heartily donate our time, talent, and resources to help the organization spread music education to communities, helping particularly with accounting, social media management, IT, school visits, and operational issues on the ground.

Community Support by Repurposing Technology

B&P Tech for the Team

Technological advancement plays a vital role in delivering education to the students today. Classroom walls are no longer a barrier. Technology-based tools made collaboration online and offline possible and convenient. It enabled innovative ways to learn and communicate, and created opportunities for most exciting discoveries and inventions from the youth. However, many still have no access to a computer.

The “Tech for the Team” program aims to provide children the access to a desktop or laptop computer at home, which they can use for their online distance learning. We do this sustainably by donating our office devices that are no longer being used.
